Many people on our travels told us that if we were to visit Ljubljana, we should definitely spend a day in Lake Bled – so Hannah and I decided to do just that!
On day three, we headed to the supermarket to get a few cheese, crackers and croissants so that we could have our breakfast by the lake. We then headed to the main bus stations in Ljubljana, which was just over a 10 minute walk from my hostel and got the bus from platform 7. It took us one and a half hours to get there and the ticket was included in our inter-rail pass. The bus stop is literally a two-minute walk from Lake Bled.
Once we reached the walking path that takes us around the entire lake, returnee right. they estimated a total walking time of three hours around the Lake we kept take pitstops and breaks every 10 minutes. We also had a chance to row the boat to Bled castle in the middle of the lake, which is perched upon a rock cliff 130m above the lake. Here are a few pictures of our day.
